Local Malaysian Driver Qualifies 1st in Class
Malaysian business Pye Sen Tan will be racing the Caterham Supersport this weekend in the Asia Classic Car Challenge at the Sepang International Circuit.
Having finished on the Malaysia Merdeka Endurance Race podium in 2009, the 2011 JPM Renault Megane Cup Champion Pye will be the second driver to race the new Caterham Supersport after Sri Lankan Shirendra Lawrence first tamed the car in round 3 of the MSS in June.
Pye, a racing enthusiast is excited about getting back into action on the race track, “It’s been a while since I’ve driven in anger around this great circuit, but I feel confident that I can deliver a positive result for Caterham this weekend.”
Pye was able to qualify 1st on class and 4th overall.
Race one starts at 9am on Sunday, with Race 2 running at 11:25am.
