MORE EXCITING RACING AS DRIVERS FIGHT FOR OUTRIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP LEAD
The scene is set for more exciting racing this weekend as the Caterham Motorsport 2015 Championship heads to Sepang International Circuit for rounds 3 and 4 in support of the Malaysian Championship Series.
After an exciting start to the Championship in April where we saw four different winners over both classes, this weekend should prove no different as drivers try to defend their championship lead from drivers in the chase.
The 420R class leader Tan Pye Sen will be trying to extend his points lead over Tan Sri Azman Yahya with Dato Adrian D’Silva in hot pursuit.
The Supersport class is a much tighter contest with Dato Halim Mu’Azzam standing on top, tied with the only lady driver in the championship: Malaysian Leona Chin. Sidqi Ahmad and Sri Lankan Shirendra Lawrence are only nine points each away in third and fourth.
Caterham Motorsport Championship CEO Campbell Tupling is excited about this weekend, “After such a positive start to the Championship in April, we’re looking forward to watching some more exciting racing this weekend. All the drivers are pumped up and we will see seven drivers battling for outright championship leads in both classes. Once again I would like to thank Prince, Tune Talk, Rokki and TOC for their support this weekend.”
Action starts with practice and qualifying during Saturday including race one at 17:30. Race two starts at 12:45 on Sunday. Entry to Sepang International Circuit is free.
